A woman at Koromakawa Village on the
Navua River Valley makes a tapa cloth
like the one featured on our Tapa Cloth
page. It was the very first tapa item we
sold.
The Indigenous Fijian women who
make our baskets.
Kuki, his wife Labinia and their two
sons. La makes most of our tapa cloth
wall hangings. You can find Kuki and
La's shop at Vatukarase Village along
the Queen's Road on the Coral Coast
of Viti Levu.
The lovely Dite from the Totoia
Village on the Lau group of Fiji
Islands. Dite's boys do the
hand-carving on many of the wood
items we sell. On weekdays you can
find Dite in her shop at Deuba.
Sere, from Korovisilou Village
on the Coral Coast of Viti
Levu, is our one and only mat
maker.
Sere gets help with making mats from
her neice Tuli, also of Korovisilou
Village. The mat Tuli is working on
here is the very same one featured
here on our Mats & Baskets page.
This is Liga and Milika, the extremely
talented husband and wife team from
Nadi.
Liga is a well-known award-winning
artist in Fiji and is the designer of our
Tabua logo.
Milika designs and crafts all of our pearl
jewelery. When she is not travelling
north to Savu Savu to collect her pearls,
Milika can be found in her workshop at
the back of her home in Nadi.
